Donald Trump reportedly asked for ‘gossip’ about Meghan Markle on his recent state visit to the UK.
The US President and First Lady Melania Trump were greeted at Windsor Castle during their second state visit to Britain in September.
The visit was filled with pomp and pageantry, including a ceremonial welcome and a state banquet.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not publicly mentioned by Trump but it is understood the president did bring up their names during conversation.
According to royal expert Tom Sykes, Trump wanted to know the latest gossip about the couple – and even asked Queen Camilla.
In his The Royalist Substack, Tom claimed a source revealed how the president asked Camilla: “What’s the gossip on Meghan then? What’s going on there?”

Tom said the president said he ‘would have liked an exclusive update’ on the situation, Express reports.
It is unlikely the Royal Family would have spoken about Harry and Meghan at the time – a subject they have avoided discussing publicly over the years.
This may have been a disappointment for Trump, who has previously been clear of his dislike for the couple.
He once said Harry and Meghan emotionally hurt the late Queen Elizabeth II when they quit royal life five years ago.
In an interview with Nigel Farage on GB News in 2021, Trump said: “I’m not a fan of hers [Meghan].
“I wasn’t from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think some day he will regret it.
“I think Harry’s been used and been used terribly.
“I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen [Elizabeth].
“She [Meghan] is trying do things that I think are very inappropriate.”
Earlier this year, he also called Meghan ‘terrible’ in an interview with The New York Post.
