Tyler the creators is being flamed on Twitter for his old tweets right now and someone found out that Bella tweeted his problematic lyrics leading to people finding more of her racist tweets .Atp I’m not surprised that a white celeb has a racist past but people hail her as their unproblematic princess.I wonder how this managed to fly under the radar .

I know we arent allowed to speak ill of her and shes a fan fave or whatever but….unsurprising lmao.

(also if your reaction to this is to bring up the timeframe it was said in or her age etc as excuses you’re closer, morally, to the current administration in the way you think about this racist/ anti-Black stuff than the other side lol ❤️)

    2. Age 16. Should know better. Kids are very dumb in their choices and blurt out their supposedly edgy blah-blah when they should self edit.

Edit – I teach and see/hear the goofiest stuff all day. It takes reminders to reinforce respect for others…

it did not fly under the radar, her past tweets go viral every now and then but she’s just like hailey bieber… white, skinny, and pretty. therefore the masses don’t care especially in this climate of n*zis.

I have no idea why so many celebrities never take the time to scrub their social media. You’d think that’d be the first thing their PR team tells them.

That being said, while she should have known better at 16, but they’re also really, really dumb. It’s not as if she posted this yesterday.

This reminds me of the incredibly cringe sneaker video she did when she tried so hard to be “gangster/hood.” Like giiiirl 🙄 I try hard to forget this video exists because it’s so embarrassing

    6. These old tweets are resurfacing because it’s been a topic lately of how cruel and racist people were to black women on social media, mainly Twitter (X) during the 2010s

    7. SilverRaincoat on

I was around the same age as her and I grew up in the rural Midwest with almost allll white kids. I never said slurs lol. Weird how people try to normalize racism

“she’s 16” i think being 16 years old is enough to know you shouldn’t be shouting such stuff online just cuz you have a twitter account

    9. There’s a certain type of way insecure non black women start to act when they date a black guy that is so gd bizarre.

    10. This is so cringe, Back in 2012 she was hanging out with Miley Cyrus when she was recording Bangerz lol, I wonder how long after she met Abel

Are Palestinian people white? I thought they’re brown. I know her moms white. But she’s Palestinian, right?

My family is mixed and we don’t consider ourselves white. We consider ourselves the mixed part. Although we are privileged in that we can pass.

Wouldn’t that be what Bella is? I’m confused.

I still don’t get why it seems to be only celebs who tweet random racist or misogyntic or dumb crap when they were young whereas normal people actually don’t

this didn’t fly under the radar people just forget. this was all big talk in 2017-2018 when she was becoming peak famous. she was “canceled” and those interested in the modeling and fashion world shunned her and she was not a favorite. just because you didn’t know about it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

    14. crumpetsandchai on

2012 was seriously the start of the peak period for white women with an identity crisis (think Miley, the Kardashians etc). It was the beginnings of cultural appropriation actually being the culture

And im sure people will excuse it by saying she was 16, as if 16 yo black girls weren’t reading those tweets. But i guess their trauma is the price to pay for white people to grow and learn.

Every day the internet shows me another celebrity to not like. At this point we need a Good celebrity list, I’m sure it would be short.

    17. Abject_Match517 on

Everyone will excuse this as “oh she was just a kid” but what about all the black kids that bore the brunt of this rhetoric? No sympathy for them?

    18. unlikelyfinalgirl on

I would chalk this up to age but …

Y’all remember that video of Aziz Ansari with Bella Hadid where he called her out for saying racial slurs. Bella looked like she saw a ghost. If someone knows more about that video (like he was just joking, etc.), let me know but it makes me think racial slurs are a normal part of their vocabulary.

    19. The flip side of white kids’ “edgy racist phase” that they get to “grow out of” is black kids being subjected to racial abuse that they never get to forget or stop feeling.

The effects of this shit is passed down in our DNA. It’s a horrific thing to experience.

    20. What is the weird fantasy that some white women with black boyfriends and black men have them black women desperately want to be in their place.
It’s like a fantasy they’ve invented in their minds — it’s like the British press and Meghan Sussex.
Where they’re convinced they’re rejecting her and it’s like dude she’s not interested, she didn’t notice, she didn’t care.

Black women live rent free in the heads of the insecure to try and get validation by dissing some imaginary cliche that doesn’t exist.
It’s just a placard announcing your own insecurity.

I was online in the 2010s and black women were dogpiled on. Cancel culture for real so naturally nobody cared.

And I like Bella Hadid now because she’s clearly matured but let’s be real she’s about as secure as Taylor Swift. And has had about eight faces. Her toxic black ex even mocked her for this.

Racism is literally a tool for the insecure. All bigotry is. You only want to punch down because you feel like hell inside.

In a way that’s why I rarely bother to condemn the deeply insecure. Because even if Bella was unrepentant until today, nobody could hate her as much as she hates herself. The same with Taylor and all these types.
They’re globally famous but hell is their own existence. So they’re already paying a price no consequences could give them.

At 16 you know this is wrong.

Why celebs insist on leaving up their old posts idk. Either delete the account and start a new one and keep it strictly business or delete your tweets.

    22. SpecificSpring4143 on

People just have short term memory and put her on a pedestal due to current events. These are blatant displays of anti blackness and her associates past and present are further proof of that.
