Jennifer Lopez breaks silence on Alex Rodriguez breakup rumors

The Bravo verse will kill me if I do not ask this next question. What’s that? Okay. It came up at a Southern Charm reunion a few years ago. Southern Charm is a show about a group of fops in Charleston, South Carolina that your ex A-Rod was DMing one of the cast members. That’s Andy Cohen doing what he does best, asking the questions everyone’s dying to know. And this time it was Jennifer Lopez in the hot seat. On Watch What Happens Live, JLo finally broke her silence, well, sort of, on the rumors that her engagement to Alex Rodriguez ended because of Southern Charm star Madison Lacroy’s DMs. Let’s rewind for a second. Jennifer and Alex started dating back in 2017, quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s favorite power couples. By 2019, they were engaged and planning a wedding. Plans that had to be put on hold during the pandemic. But in 2021, things took a turn. Rumors surfaced that A-Rod had been messaging reality star Madison Lacroy. Southern Charm castmate Danny Baird even claimed the two had facetimed, though Madison insisted it never went beyond a few innocent DMs. At the time, sources close to Rodriguez said there was nothing going on between them. But the damage, it seems, was already done. Reports soon followed that the scandal was the final straw, leading JLo and A-Rod to officially call off their engagement in March 2021. So, what did Jennifer have to say about it now? When Andy asked her if the rumors played a role in the breakup, JLo smiled and replied, “You know, I really have nothing to say about my personal life anymore. I feel like it’s I’m done with that.” The audience loved it, cheering her on as she laughed and said, “Yes, of course. Since then, JLo has moved forward in true superstar fashion. She rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck, married him in 2022, and after their split two years later, appears to be single once again. And just to keep things light, she even revealed during the same Watch What Happens Live episode that her Office romance co-star Brett Goldstein is quote the best kisser. So, while Jennifer may not be spilling all the tea, one thing is clear. She’s at peace with her past and focused on her next chapter.

Jennifer Lopez reacted to rumors that she ended her engagement to Alex Rodriguez after he slid into “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy’s DMs. Lopez was playing a round of “Plead The Fifth” on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” when the host pressed her on the long-swirling gossip about the Bravolebrity and former baseball player.
