Hailey Bieber avoids Selena Gomez run-in at Museum Gala

Haley Bieber and Selena Gomez avoided a run-in at the Academy Museum Gala 2025 after reigniting their long-standing feud. The Road founder enjoyed a girls night out with her best friend Kendall Jenner at the A-list event in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Selena and her new husband, Benny Blanco, made their first appearance as a married couple on the carpet. Selena and Haley walked the carpet at separate times after the latter appeared to have shaded the actress while chatting with the Wall Street Journal in an interview published on October 14th. During the interview, the Roadkin founder was asked how she feels about the competition with her beauty products now being sold at Sephora alongside other brands, including Selena’s Rare Beauty brand. Haley told the outlet, “I think there is space for everybody.” Now, while the model didn’t mention Rare Beauty in particular, she added, “I don’t feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by.” The businesswoman also commented on shoppers comparing the brand, saying, “It’s always annoying being pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that. When people want to see you a certain way and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that.” A spokesperson for Haley, who married Selena’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, in 2018, told Page 6 that her comments weren’t directly about Selena Gomez. Selena later commented on Haley’s remarks via her Instagram stories, writing, “Just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. Doesn’t affect my life whatsoever. It’s just about relevance, not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me. There’s room for everyone, and hopefully we can all stop.” For years, Selena and Haley have been pitted against each other despite their efforts to prove they were amicable. Then in 2023, Selena even publicly asked her fans to stop cyberbullying Haley. And shortly thereafter, the ladies went viral, proposing for pictures together at the Academy Music Gala. Haley went on to like Selena’s engagement announcement, and the singer returned the favor when Haley landed her first Vogue cover. In June, fans suspected the longtime feud between Haley and Selena, both of whom dated the baby singer, had reignited when it appeared they were no longer following each other on social media. So, the period of peace appears to have been short-lived.

Bieber, 28, looked chic, donning an espresso brown corset gown, while the “Kardashians” star, 29, sported a black sleeveless dress.
