Rachael Kirkconnell, Matt James Didn’t Have Sex for Years Before Split | E! News
Rachel Kirk Connell says she hasn’t had sex for years despite being in a romance with former Bachelor Matt James. The reality star, who dated Matt James from 2021 until their split in January 2025, says that she hasn’t had sex since their breakup, but also admits that she and Matt were in a dry spell long before their split. She said on the October 16th episode of the Extra Dirty podcast, “It’s been so long at this point, I feel like a virgin again. I haven’t had sex way longer than you think. I’ll just put it that way. It’s been years. It has been so long. And because of how long it’s been, Rachel says she wants to wait for the right person. I can’t just like hook up with someone at random at this point because it’s been so long that I want it to be incredible. After reflecting on her and Matt’s four-year relationship, Rachel previously said she feels she learned a lot throughout the journey. She told Enus in May, “Things that I would take away would just be standing up for myself a bit more and just not losing your confidence or not putting yourself aside for someone else.” And of her breakup with Matt, she explained, “I am still processing everything, figuring it out. I think a lot of people think that I have feelings of remorse or regret or frustration or that I’m just very, very heartbroken. I think that I have to remind myself that there was no time wasted and that I’m very thankful for everything that I went through, for what we both went through.
