Kristen Bell SLAMMED for “Tone-Deaf” Post! Blake Lively Jumps Into Damage Control?!

Actress Kristen Bell has been getting slammed over the past few days over an anniversary post she made for her husband, Dax Shepard, that many are calling tonedeaf. Well, Blake Lively used it as an opportunity to try to get some good PR. You’re not going to believe what she did. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Welcome to Popcorn Planet. I am Andy Signor. Man, Blake doesn’t surprise me anymore, I guess, but this one did a little bit. I can’t the g of this one. Before we get to the Blake part of it, let’s go through why Kirsten Bell is all over the news yesterday. Today, uh she posted a uh Instagram post celebrating her anniversary to husband Dex Shepard, which many are calling unbelievably tonedeaf. We’re going to go to the reaction in a second, but here was the uh the uh the offensive post. Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me, “I would never unal alive you.” A lot of men have unalive their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to unalive you, I never would. art. Now, look, I found this funny. I found this funny. This is clearly their sense of humor. It’s their anniversary. They’re sharing their sort of sick sense of humor with each other and probably something he actually said at one point. And it’s 12 years of a wedding anniversary and they’re they’re they’re celebrating the way they do between themselves. And they probably could have done it privately instead of publicly because when you do things publicly, you’re going to upset somebody. And boy, did she upset people here, man. The comments ro rolled in. Uh, just FYI, posting this caption during DV awareness month is unbelievably tonedeaf. Please reconsider. That’s a wildly sad and insensitive thing to say considering it’s DV awareness month and thousands of women have died at the hands of their the man they trusted. Kirsten, there’s no way you post this during DV awareness month. Blah blah blah. Everyone just so mad. This isn’t a joke. Spousal, you know, stuff like that isn’t a joke or something to take lightly with one noting this po to post this and call it sweet or a joke is wild to me. Please keep in mind that this is something real that lots of people suffer on a daily basis and the text can be triggering. Many called the message weird and disturbing and even left one fan questioning Belle as a person. Look, I I I get it. I do have a lot of people in my audience who are survivors and you may be upset by it, but oh my god, everybody take a breath. Take a breath. Just because she posts this doesn’t mean she knew it was DV awareness month. Doesn’t mean she’s trying to offend anybody else. Uh you know, look, you can disagree. You can even be offended. It’s fine. But this like now they’re trying to cancel her over this because she posted a post. Like it’s okay. It might not be funny to some of you. I get it. I truly do get it. But really, this is what we’re going to get over upset over right now in this in the world. This is the most thing we we need to worry about right now. I I don’t think she meant any harm by it. Personally, I don’t neither did Dayine who chimed in with the best screen screenshotted. Brilliant. Yeah, that’s Hello. Just everybody calm down. Take a breath. You don’t have to feel like it’s a slight at you. This is my problem with the internet. Well, I totally understand where some people are triggered or maybe coming from and this may be offensive to them. I I I do get it. She’s not talking to you. She doesn’t know who you are. She’s just along the line trying wanted to say something sweet and funny to her husband. They did. Everybody’s got to like take it as a as a as a a shot at them or they’re No. No. Why do you have to jump to such big overexaggerated conclusions? Sure. She’s not saying DV is a joke. She’s not. Is this supposed to be funny? Yeah, it was. It was funny to a lot of us. It was. It is funny. It’s both someone who survived it. Look, everyone’s just so angry at her. They’re coming out of the woodwork. This isn’t a thing to joke about. Uh Kristen, girl, come on. Just a tonedeaf celebrity. She’s I When I read this, when I read this, just so you can see another perspective, I think she’s calling him out of just how weird that was. and he said that and they clearly have that kind of close, you know, thing. I I don’t believe for a second you’ve never said something with your partner that, you know, maybe you don’t say out loud, but you say with them in the comfort of somebody you trust who’s not going to cancel you for saying it, who knows your heart and knows your your inside. You know, yeah, you have you have moments like this and this is clearly their their sense of humor. And if you’re that offended by it, then sure, don’t support anymore. I fine that that’s you’re right. That’s your right. But I just find this this odd. I would never I would never do that to you. A lot of men have done this at a certain point even though I’m heavily incentivized to insurance pol. It’s true. I never would. Hello. How many like you could say that Dline is exploiting this. If anything, you could say that all the true crime shows are exploiting it. If you’re really that offended by this post, you should be offended by all of it. You should. They’re profiting off of these. You could find a reason to be offended about anything in the world. So, I find this whole attempt to cancel her over the insensitive post. Oh my god. Oh my god. Politicians are posting so much worse. It’s insane. People are getting dragged out of their cars without by masked people who don’t even know if they’re actually a legit agents. Like, we are in a crazy world right now. And this is what we’re going to get upset about on Twitter or social media. I I’m sorry. I I don’t I I think this is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. the fact that people are still coming at her. Good for her. She comment she turned off comments. She she then limited. She didn’t remove them. She left a lot there, but she turned it off cuz she’s like, “Oh my god, enough.” And now I was like, “You better apologize.” Why? Why should she apologize for what? Because you don’t find her joke funny. So then don’t follow her. Fine. Good for you, Kristen. Stand your stand it. I don’t find this offensive personally. There’s going to be other people are going to agree with me. There’ll be people who disagree with me, but welcome to America. Welcome to the world where we’re allowed to have different opinions. Now, let’s get to the Blake of it because this this I think we could all and should all get upset about. Look who as as Kristen Bell is getting all this bad press, which she was. Headlines all over yesterday, today, uh this morning. Look who chimes in to try to get some good press. I can’t I can’t even. Blake Lively, the woman who had a movie about DV, a book about DV that she refused to discuss TV during the promotion of that same woman. Uh, that woman now decided to to take today of all days, yesterday of all days to remind everybody of common gaslighting phrases and, you know, financial just the irony of this. Oh my god. the irony of this gaslighting financially abusive woman coming out to just Yeah, don’t forget emotional and verbal. Now, look, I’m not trying to make these posts funny. These are all legit things. I’m I’m laughing at the fact that Blake Lively is now suddenly sharing them as if she’s the voice of DV Survivors. You liar fraud. You literally made a movie about it and you you were so insensitive and callous like it offended real women who were like, “Excuse me, girl. Why are you selling your booze? You’ve still yet to address it? Why did you think it was a good idea that there was booze? Why can’t you apologize? Oh my god, I didn’t know. I’m so sorry you guys didn’t If anybody should be apologizing, it’s Blake Effing Lively.” And now she’s playing like, “Oh no, I was really good.” She wants you to forget all the stuff she did that deserved the outrage over that summer. Everything she did was deserved because she did stuff that she needs to take accountability for and she’s a person who refuses to take accountability for. So I I just find this all so crazy that she’s out there trying to now like uh be the arbiter and she’s doing it literally as Kirsten Bell’s getting slammed and and and clearly probably saw the outrage and was like, “Oh, it’s DV Survivor. Oh yeah. Okay, great. Kristen Bell’s getting slammed. So, I’m going to jump in and post my things to get the attention because that’s going to really help me in my press. Girl, you you don’t get to do that now. You don’t get to do that now. I’m sorry. You had every opportunity during this movie. You have now tainted this this story just so important for women and men to like be able to know. And I’m sorry, Justin was really always trying to make that be the most important message and you weren’t. So you don’t get to now suddenly come out and be like, “Oh, oh yes, here are the resources.” You only did that when you got you I think she did it one other time, right, during the summer after she got a lot of the bad press and then she finally came out with it. Whereas way before then, Justin was talking about no more and everything else and you did nothing. People were asking her on the red carpet and she was making light of it. Despicable. Absolutely despicable. I mean, look, legitimate resources and things she’s saying here. I I So, yes, there is that. Uh but despicable that now amidst all this cancellation of Kristen Bell, she decided to go out there on social media to make herself look like the better person. And the irony is she was going to color of love. That’s right. I love it. No pun intended. This is of course a big week of celebrating. We have the red carpet premiere and tomorrow Friday is the beginning of the weekend. What is it? Shoot. What is it? Tomorrow the 17th, the Friday is the Rexom Charity Gala. October 17. Of course, she’s going to the Rexom. Get Blake Lively’s going to be there. Is the Oh my god, it’s my anniversary. You know, I don’t remember that. I know. And I want to Oh, shoot. I’m so glad that you told me. Listen. Um, I like her even more now, honestly. like, “Yeah, I’ve forgotten mine a lot.” A lot of people do. It’s very common. She then later even admits, “Yeah, uh, Dax does, too.” But yeah, I I play the clip one to show, look, she’s having fun. She’s trying to be sweet. She’s not trying to harm anybody. She didn’t mean to offend you. Stop being offended by what others say. Focus on you. Not everything’s about you. Not everything is about you. This was funny to a lot of us. You could be like, “That wasn’t funny.” And then move on. I got to cancel her now. I don’t get it. And if you want to be mad at somebody, be mad at this woman trying to fake this support when she had every opportunity and now she’s destroyed this book. To me, I that to me is where we should be angry at. So, nice try, Blake. Nice try with your little Jedi mind tricks trying to to talk about gaslighting the world. Uh that’s you, girl.
