Brandy Speaks Out on Abruptly Exiting ‘The Boy Is Mine” Chicago Concert | E! News

Brandy is breaking her silence. After the singer abruptly left the stage at her Chicago stop for the boy’s mind tour with Monica, Brandy takes to Instagram on October 19th to share insight into what happened, writing, “I sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night’s performance in Chicago. After weeks of non-stop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint. Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.” She continues, “I still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling okay with having to make some adjustments in the show being very technical. Unfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production.” Brandy and Monica kicked off third the boy’s mind tour named after their ‘9s duet on October 16th. And in the middle of performing at their Chicago stop October 18th, Brandy exited the stage, leaving Monica to finish performing solo. Later in her statement, the singer thanks Monica for quote stepping up with such grace and professionalism and the entire crew for their continued care and support. She ends her message with I look forward to returning to the stage stronger and more grateful than ever alongside my girl Monica. [Music]
