Adam Brody & Kristen Bell “Finish the Sentence” About ‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 2

Hello, I’m Adam Brody and I’m Chris Bell. Yep. And we’re at our Hollywood Reporter cover shoot for the season two something or other of Nobody wants. That’s right. Season 2 of Nobody Wants Us has been more fun than season 1. And season 1 was a lot of fun. I had a lot of fun. dare I say the most fun on season 1 and of any job not well close to it but I meant like of anyone on season 1. Oh I enjoyed myself the most which is not to say you didn’t enjoy yourself a lot but that is correct but I enjoyed myself even more. Yeah, I would say uh after the honeymoon phase when life begins. I had a good feeling about this show when I read the first and second episode in one sitting. I’m a pick it up, put it down kind of reader and I got I blazed through this cuz I wanted to know what happened. That’s a very good sign. That’s very I I had a good I I did have a good feeling, but my definitive thing was when I saw the first episode. That’s when I had a very good feeling. be because it was good and um um it came together marvelously, better than I thought it was going to when you know I saw it cut together and I saw us acting together and the music and I was like this is really working in a way that now has got me very excited. If one scene is brought up to me, you know, I think it’s the first kiss the most. And then I guess followed secondly by the I can handle you. Oh yeah. God, you remember the show so well. I like I’m like Well, I watch it every day. [Applause] Like that. Calm down. Calm down. Really? calm down. That’s what I give myself at the end of every day. I think you calm down in what way? Like overthinking on and off screen. I think I cuz I can see myself when I watch myself, which I I really try not to do it. I I can see myself overthinking things. For me, I I’m always like, “Just be funnier.” The first half of both seasons, I’m like, “Yeah, he’s pretty romantic. That’s nice.” And by this by the second half, I’m like, “Just make me laugh or get out of my face. I’m so sick of this guy. Okay. I think you’re very funny. I’m not my No. I think you’re very funny as well. I don’t have an answer for this one cuz I believed everything my character did. I think the way the show was written was so hyper realistic. In fact, I was like um wondering when I don’t know more plot points would happen, but then I realized looking back like, oh, the point is that it’s supposed to actually be like reality and you’re supposed to have all these moments that are ambiguous and you don’t know what to say and you’re supposed to sit in those and stew in those and let the camera shoot you in those. That’s what real life is. I can’t believe my character. Um, oh, bows down to his mama so much maybe. Certainly. I certainly I find him I find him a little I mean I can believe it. It’s not that I can’t believe it, but I I I find him a little wishy-washy, you know. Um Um lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo loyal also loyal loyal but I mean you know yes loyal. I do think he, you know, acquiesces to his parents a lot for an adult, but then again, you know, he also is starting to create some separation. [Music]
