They don't make them like they used to. I grew up with all of these and even though some of them are not considered classics by any means, they have a special place in my heart. I still remember how Bridge to Terabithia absolutely wrecked me when I first watched it.

This reminds me I need to rent the last season of His Dark Materials from the library.
i love seeing inkheart mentioned
Love seeing The Golden Compass, the His Dark Materials trilogy makes my top 5 best books of all time list.
I was *obsessed* with that Peter Pan movie. The soundtrack was so good. I still have an autographed picture of Jeremy Sumpter somewhere at my moms house lol
Great picks!
The chronic (what) calls of Narnia
Gene Wilder is Willy Wonka, anything else is sacrilege. The Johnny Depp version was especially atrocious.
In positive news, my partner finally came to me with, “did you know that Amber Heard was the victim in that relationship?” It’s happening…slower than turtles stampeding through peanut butter, but the tides are turning.
Stardust omgggg thank you for reminding me, will rewatch✨️
ugh jeremy sumpter was my ultimate childhood crush, i was obsessed with the peter pan movie
Cornelia Funke books were 10/10.
I kind of love the fact that they 100% sold Bridge To Terabithia as a fun, whimsical, fantasy adventure!…. and then kept the ending from the book.
I enjoyed flipping through these slides and identifying the exact moment I aged out of this demographic
I loved all those movies as a child, we had it so good compared to today’s kids, my lil nieces and nephews only watch youtube shorts all day
I was like “Aw, man the nostalgia.” until my Bridge to Terabithia trauma was triggered. One like 2 or 3 movies that’s ever made me cry
grew up watching these movies and still watch them from time to time. actually just watched ella enchanted last week. glad that it was on netflix and i didnt have to go through the attic to my find old dvds.
I LOVED stardust!!!!
Skandar Keynes I am STILL mad at you for becoming a Tory.
Shoutout to all my Narnia Dazzle/ ONTD twatlight bitches ✨
This is Arthur and the Invisibles erasure
Stardust is one of the few movies I enjoyed more than the book. It’s such a great film.
(Obligatory fuck Neil Gaiman.)
Aw man, seeing Inkheart in their just re-broke my heart.
I have that book on Audible and love listening to it because Lynn Redgrave is the narrator. So I bought the second book in the series to continue listening- the second one is narrated by Brendan Fraser. Okay, I can deal with that. Its a little odd going from an old British lady to.a young American man, but its Brendan Fraser! But then booked 3? A new narrator again- this time someone I’ve never heard of. It’s a very wonky listening experience.
How can you leave off Lord of the Rings
A Series of Unfortunate Events had me tying my hair up with a ribbon for years thinking I was Violet Baudelaire
