Tennis player Marta Kostyuk sparked controversy after claiming that it’s hard for her to compete with world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and world No. 2 Iga Świątek because, according to her, they have higher levels of testosterone

The bigoted chromosome/hormone police, amplified by psychos like Rowling, have opened the door for cis women in sports to weaponize normative ideals of “biological womanhood” against their competitors. We are going to see increased invasive “gender checks” all in the name of “protecting women”.

    2. i see what she’s trying to do, they tried it with imani khelif and it failed, stop this bullshit girl it’s pathetic

    3. YoungProper1257 on

Seems like she needs to hit the gym more. Or pick a sport better suited to her physique.

    4. misamoshashasha on

‘Biological differences’- Simone Biles wouldn’t be the legendary gymnast she is today if she had a different build, neither would Phelps or Bolt. Hard work and a unique body is what makes a world class athlete.

Transphobes once again prove they’re stupid as fuck

    5. I have never liked her for no real reason, so this feels validating cos I can now say I don’t like her cos she’s an asshole.

This ‘testosterone’ thing is basically to pressure women into conforming with a certain view of being a woman and it’s fucking frustrating how much it seems to be working.

Every human on this planet is unique in some way. Sports are a man-made construct designed to entertain people. They don’t define any part of human biology or anatomy. No legislation should exist that inaccurately defines sex or gender for the sole benefit of some athletes. Next they’ll complain that some women are too tall.

    7. Obviously this is stupid for a million bigoted reasons but it also makes me think of this video (?) I saw of a professional athlete talking about how the body you are born in influences which sport you play. Like, if you are naturally long and lean, you will initially excel more at running than football. Sometimes people are just born with advantages and like… that’s ok? You work with the lot you’re given.

    8. Affectionate-Fill713 on

I literally never get this bullshit argument. So what? Some people have bigger lungs, longer legs etc… Are you going to start disqualifying people because they are taller? Of course not..

    9. Yeah and I’m never going to play for the WNBA because I’m 5’2″ and not 6’2″. Woe.

    10. Otherotherothertyra on

Martina Navratilova has said the same thing about them both yet she’s still a celebrated commentator

    11. “i have to work harder to win points.” yes, because they are better players than you….

    12. UnintentionalWipe on

There have been smaller players who were able to be number one. Martina Hingis, for example. So I’m not sure what she’s saying here. Maybe she should train more instead of complaining.

“Against Iga, when I have played her, I wasn’t ready to play her at all. I played her over a year ago and she was very strong. With Aryna, I know it is a tough battle. I have my own skills, but at the end of the day, they are all much bigger than me, much taller than me, much stronger than me,”

She is 5’9” (1.75 m), the same height as Iga Świątek, Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, and Ekaterina Alexandrova, who are all in the top 10. She is also taller than Jessica Pegula (1.70 m) and Jasmine Paolini (1.63 m), two other top-10 players.

    14. “Smaller than them” “Have to work harder” Well yes…… Welcome to sports?? Hello???

    15. Old-Dinner-6108 on

She needs to eat in a surplus and get in that gym and lift heavy weights to put on muscle and shut tf up about testosterone. What a pathetic cop out. There is no biological difference when you’re all biological women.

    16. flemishbiker88 on

The same way that Phelps recycles lactic acid quicker that any other swimmer… apparently his recycle rate is off the charts and kept a closely guarded secret

    17. Maybe she should play for a rec league then. Play pickleball against some old ladies at the park.

    18. I’m confused they all have very similar build/heights. Iga Świątek is the same height as her and Aryna Sabalenka is like 2 inches taller than her. I don’t think its a issue of testosterone its an issue of talent. What a dangerous and loserish way of think about competition.

    19. say-kobe-and-throw on

I know the post is about the comments, but who tf picked those pics? So blatantly fucking charged in service of her disgusting remarks. This was absolutely a deliberate choice. They do the same shit to Serena and a lot of other female athletes the “transvestigators” love to target.

    20. The ironic thing is her own physical advantages contribute to her success in the sport, at 5 9 she’s taller than the majority of women. Taller than Paolini and Pegula from the t10, same height as the likes of Swiatek, Andreeva and Gauff. Completely tone deaf

    21. Glad_Inspection_1630 on

What about the other 24 women who are ranked about this eminent endocrinologist?

    22. Sports aren’t fair. Especially at the top levels; Shaquille O’Neal was 7’1 and 325lbs, he shattered rims and REQUIRED teams to foul him through out the game. He still played youth and high school games, 6’10” at 14.

    23. Sore fucking loser. Everyone has biological differences, dipshit. At least the last sentence is true, just not in the way she meant. She needs to train harder and lose the thinly veiled fuckery.

    24. chibuku_chauya on

Skill issue. Compared to the others she does have twig-like limbs, but if it bothers her so much perhaps she should pump iron in the gym until she’s swole, just like her competitors are.

    25. Bruh she is in top 30. Imagine being one of the 30 best out of 3,9 billion at anything. And still she is bitching about not being in top 3. If everyone better than you has high testosterone levels, then I can accuse her of the same thing too for being better than most other players

    26. Nobody ever talks about the fact that Michael Phelps’ body is genetically predisposed to being better a swimming, but for some reason testosterone, which doesn’t even have as direct of an effect on athletic performance as body proportions/shape, is policed for no reason. There’s genetic variation in the population— that’s not something you can change. It’s not unfair it just is. I wish everyone would just focus on trying to be as good as they can instead of trying to prove others’ success illegitimate

My kid plays varsity tennis and was once absolutely smoked by a kid 4 years younger and a foot shorter. Spare me!

    28. I am a woman with higher testosterone… I’m terrible at tennis and most sports, and tbh I’m weak as kitten, I struggle to carry things that aren’t even that heavy, I don’t know what part testosterone could even play in a sport like tennis since it doesn’t effect your reaction times and many female tennis players have performed to equal or higher levels to male players 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

    29. thenoctilucent on

Some of the assholes over on TERF Island have been really hyperanalyizing Central and Eastern European women’s appearances for being too manly. Hate to see a Slavic woman use this rhetoric against another one.

    30. PossessionOk5313 on

Women can also have big muscles and perform good in sports with normal testosterone levels…they know that, right? If they don’t they should go back to middle school anatomy lmao. Even if she DOES have higher testosterone levels, so what? Male athletes have all different types of hormone levels but are all regarded equally. This is just misogyny plain and simple.

    31. Litteraly genetic play a role in competitive sport. It s a fact lets move on. No one is making a scene in running bc someone has longer legs. It’s ridiculous at this point what did she expect? Only playing against her clone?
