Prince William makes surprising offer to Prince Harry amid titles row

Prince William has aptly displayed what kind of influence he holds in King Charles’s reign given the events of the past two weeks.

There has been a major ripple made in the royal family as the Prince of Wales stepped up and urged his father to take a stricter approach towards the shamed royal Prince Andrew, and the monarch obliged.

Last week, Andrew had announced via a statement from Buckingham Palace that he is giving up the use of his royal titles as the allegations against him are distracting from the work of the royal family. Even though, William was hoping for a far more concrete step, this seemed to be just the glimpse of the reforms he had in mind.

Following this, sources revealed that after Andrew, titles of his daughter Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are also in danger. Moreover, there were also plans to strip Harry and his family – wife Meghan Markle and two children Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 – of their Sussex titles.

Although, the King has pleaded his son to halt the crackdown on the royal titles and to give his estranged brother one more chance to make peace. Insiders revealed that Charles, along with his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton have been convincing William over a Christmas reconciliation.

The change of heart may have been inspired with Charles’s meeting with Harry last month at Clarence House, but it comes with its own set of condition, the insiders noted.

“William’s willing to meet Harry, but only if everything happens strictly on his terms,” they told RadarOnline. “That means no Meghan, no aides, and zero chance of it ending up as content for a documentary or book.”

The future king is “deeply wary of being secretly recorded or having his words twisted” and there is no trust between the two brothers who were once very close.

The reunion can only happen if the meeting is held “behind closed doors, under lock and key”.

It remains to be seen if something can actually transpire in the next few weeks leading up to the annual royal family holiday.
