Prince Andrew is living at the Royal Lodge and refuses to leave despite attempts to evict him.The disgraced royal allegedly plays video games all day.Despite just Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson living in the home, he’s waited on by a large staff.
Prince Andrew is currently holed up in his giant mansion the Royal Lodge, which he refuses to leave despite public outcry and ongoing attempts to evict him. And, per The Sun, he spends all day playing Call of Duty on a wall-to-wall television and “clinging to the piles of teddies in his bedroom.” Help.
“He loves games like Call of Duty, war games with helicopters. He certainly doesn’t play FIFA, he’s got no interest in football,” a source says. “He really enjoys war films and watching golf on TV.”
Per royal author Ingrid Seward, a friend visited Andrew’s ex-wife Fergie at the home, and “Andrew was just lying there on a massive sofa watching TV on the biggest screen my friend had ever seen. It seemed to take up the whole of a wall.”
Meanwhile, Andrew doesn’t pay rent on the property (aside from “one peppercorn”) and only pays his water bills “from time to time.” The Daily Mail also reports that the house is in disrepair—despite tons of staff.
“Royal Lodge is a very big house to upkeep and it’s a big house to live in and they have a lot of staff,” Ingrid explains. “They have a butler and cook, plus someone who serves the food.”
