Of course, that wasn’t the only gay culture-relevant tidbit that Grande divulged during the episode. When Katz asked her about her mentors over the years, she wasted no time giving the Queen of Pop a shout-out.

“I’m very lucky that my idols have been very kind to me,” she said. “I remember Madonna immediately was very kind. I think she was one of the first people to reach out and give me a warm welcome… And I was overwhelmed by it, because I love her so much, and I felt so grateful to have that welcome from her.”

During the episode, The White Lotus star — and perennial queer icon — Jennifer Coolidge also made a guest appearance, leaving a voicemail in which she asked Grande if she wanted to do a buddy comedy with her where “we’re on the lam, and we’re in deep trouble, and we have to do a lot of running.”

“I would absolutely love that,” Grande said.

“In actuality, I see box office gold there,” Katz added. “So I hope that by mentioning it today, we can perhaps will it into being.”
