My favorite part of this interview is what happens right after this comment. Terry Gross responds with “Oh, those are strong words.” Without missing a beat, Guillermo says “Yeah, not for me, I’m Mexican,” and chuckles.

If I ever get to work on one of his sets I can die happy.
All big filmmakers need to have this stance so it doesn’t get normalized!
