Bijou Phillips and Danny Masterson’s Daughter Files to Change Name

BJ Phillips is making a big move on behalf of her daughter. The actress, who is mom to 11-year-old Fiona Mastersonson with her ex Danny Mastersonson, has filed a petition to legally change her daughter’s name, according to documents obtained by E! News October 25th. In the filing, the 45-year-old asked that her daughter’s name be changed to Fiona Phillips, replacing the That 70 Shows alum’s last name with her own while he serves a sentence of 30 years to life in prison for two counts of rape. E! News has reached out to reps for Phillips and Mastersonson for comment, but did not hear back. Mastersonson was arrested on three charges of forcible rape in 2020 for sexually assaulting three women in separate incidents between 2001 and 2003. Following a mistrial in 2022, the actor, who plead not guilty to the charges, was convicted on two counts in May 2023, while the jury was unable to reach a verdict on the third count. Throughout the case, Phillips remained by his side, attending court hearings and submitting a character letter to the court prior to Masterson’s sentencing. She wrote at the time, according to docs obtained by E! News, “Danny is an amazing father. Our daughter and I are heartbroken that he is not home with us.” But 4 months after the actor’s conviction, Philillips filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. She also requested legal and physical custody of Fiana while asking that her ex be granted visitation. [Music]
