Anna Camp in Out Magazine’s 2025’s Out100: “The largest obstacle I faced this year was juggling the emotions about coming out in my 40s, which included guilt for not embracing it sooner and excitement for finally being free from the constraints that had been placed on me by society & my upbringing.”

    1. I know there are some who will have thoughts on the age gap relationship, but we do need to see more people coming out and being themselves at all ages. I definitely support that.

Good for her. It can be so difficult to untangle complex feelings about coming out and how your upbringing maybe have contributed to that. But it’s never too late. I’m glad she’s happy and living as her authentic self!

      Anna is 42 and her girlfriend’s prefrontal cortex isn’t even developed – she’s 24

I loved her since True Blood. Possibly one of the most underrated American actors of her generation.

I am glad she’s out of the closet, and remember it’s never too late.

    5. Don’t know who this is, but if thats her largest obstacle she’s doing better than 99.9% of us

    6. I didn’t know who I was until not that long ago in my 30’s. There’s definitely an odd freeing feeling of finally being able to be yourself, and a whole shitload of grief for the lost time that can be hard to navigate.

I know a lot of queer people (im queer myself, had the privilege of coming out young) who when coming out when they’re older will unintentionally date younger because it makes them feel closer and intimate with the youth they didn’t have. It’s complicated, but I understand it.

wow TIL she’s queer, good for her! this is a nice contrast to her character in Hysterical which I watched not long ago. I don’t love the age gap with her girlfriend but that’s because I find age gaps icky.
