Nicole Kidman, Kendall Jenner & more celebrity looks from Vogue World 2025 | Currently Trending
Lights, camera, fashion. Staged at the Paramount Studios lot in LA Sunday evening. Vogue World Hollywood celebrated the relationship between fashion and film with a focus on the costume designers and characters behind decades of movie magic. Featuring performances by Doicat and Gracie Abrams along with copious celebrity cameos both in the front row and on the runway. The evening raised $4.5 million for the entertainment community fund to support costume professionals impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. Nicole Kidman opened the show with a rendition of Put the Blame on Maim clad in a custom black Chanel gown inspired by Rita Hworth’s from the 1946 noir Gilda. Moments later, Kendall Jenner hit the catwalk in Kidman’s iconic embellished bodysuit and top hat from Mulan Rouge designed by Katherine Martin. That wasn’t the only archival costume scene during Sunday’s show. Tayiana Taylor, Deny Guerrera, and Angela Basset modeled Ruth E. Carter’s creations for Black Panther, while Hunter Schaefer strutdded her stuff in one of Tilda Swinton’s outfits from Orlando, designed by Sandy Powell. We saw a few inspired by fashion moments, too. Julia Garner appeared in a recreation of one of Kristen Dun’s Marian Twinette gowns by Melena Cananero, while model Anokei channeled Edward Scissor Hands in a reproduction of Colleen Atwood’s iconic costume for Johnny Depp. And then there were the performers. Gracie Abrams mashed up Carol King’s I Feel the Earth Move with her own song That So True in Fresh Off the Runway Chanel. And Doicat sang gorgeous in a bold shouldered chain mail dress by Michael Schmidt. Inspired by Tina Turner’s metal mesh costume from 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Turner’s original look for George Miller’s post-apocalyptic flick, by the way, is said to have weighed a whopping 70 lb. If DOAS was that heavy, she sure didn’t show it.
