Ariana Grande is going back to her roots. On October 29th, the Wicked actress debuts a fresh look ahead of joining Cynthia Arivo for the sequel’s press tour, swapping out her blonde look for the first time since 2022. Alongside a mirror selfie of her sporting the natural color, Ariana writes in the caption, “It’s good to see me, isn’t it?” The pop star opting for her darker shade may be a way to bid farewell to Galinda as she previously said she quote needed to go blonde to play the good witch in the wicked movies. Telling Vogue last year, “Even though I was wearing wigs, I needed to be blonde, too.” Going on to note that she even took the color to her eyebrows because of a quote softness that Galinda has with her lighter brows. However, the singer did more than just dye her hair to embody the character. After all, she’s faced criticism for changing her vocal register to become Galinda, telling Variety last year, “Maybe people underestimate how long we’ve spent finding and disappearing into these women. When certain inflections or mannerisms take time to melt away, sometimes people poke fun. But we had a job to do, and we had things to get lost in because that’s what the piece required.
