We saw it when Lahaina was recovering from fires. Just wait for her complaints about lack of service when shit *really* hits the fan.

Genuinely, it sometimes seems like a lot of tourists view Caribbean islands as tourists spots and nothing more. They forget that people actually live there and so many people can lose their lives
(Speaking out of frustration and fear bc I’m from the Caribbean and I have friends and family living in Jamaica).
honestly wasn’t too pressed about this (gross and tone deaf? yes. newsworthy? eh.) until realizing they left for Jamaica after the intensity of the storm was already known. foh – why were flights even able to take MORE people to a cat 5 hurricane?
The inability to think about the people that have to work and put themselves in danger because you decide do to this is just sad… Just air in their heads and nothing else
