      I don’t think the point of AI is to simulate reality, but to make it as easy as possible for those who control the levers of power to manufacture an alternate reality to distract and confuse the masses from what’s really happening in the world.

      I understand why people get freaked out by AI but this is laughably bad 😂

      I hate AI for the environmental destruction & stealing artist’s work but I also think it’s a bubble that’s going to burst because it’s flat out not very good.

      It’s so disheartening to me that the dumb shit that I would’ve found funny while browsing YouTube 15 -20 years ago is now expected to be taken seriously and is trying to replace art.

      The thing is, I will never be a consumer of new media if AI even plays a TINY role in it, and that means even just using AI to make a half a second sound effect in a 2 hour movie.

      There are plenty of GOOD films and shows from before that I haven’t watched that I could watch instead.
