Blindsided John Corbett reacts to AJLT cancellation & reveals true feelings on Carrie & Aidan

Do I think Aiden and Carrie should have ended up together? [Music] I’ve got a feeling that they just like the old 25 years ago Aiden uh and Carrie story. I I think that there’s probably a a better fit for Carrie in in the New York lifestyle than that. They gave it the old college try. So, I think that was the right way to go w with it. Uh, yes, I was as shocked as anybody that the show ended because when when I finished my work on it, um, there was two or three episodes left when Aiden left the show. There were two or three episodes left to go that I didn’t get the scripts for them. So, I didn’t know what the story was going to be. So, I watched them with joy just like I watched every I I’m just such a fan of everybody on that show. I love watching it. I’m sad it’s not going to be around anymore. That that makes me really sad because I just love them all. My Sex in the City slash Just Like That Family so much. But I was as shocked as anybody when I you know, no one calls me up and says, “Hey, we’re going to not pick it up.” I found out just like everybody else and I was bummed out. Said it’s not going to continue.

John Corbett was blindsided by “And Just Like That” being canceled.

“I was as shocked as anybody that the show ended because when I finished my work on it, there was two or three episodes left to go that I didn’t get the scripts for them,” Corbett, who played Carrie’s beau Aidan Shaw in “Sex and the City” and its sequel series, told The Post while promoting his new film, “Soul on Fire.”

“So I didn’t know what the story was going to be,” the actor, 64, added. “So I watched them with joy. I’m just such a fan of everybody on that show. I loved watching it.”
