When asked why not, he replied, “Because I feel like it’s douche-y and I feel like frankly, I’m in a position in my life where I’m making money that is totally — there’s a incredible wage inequity with people that I work with and also, people who do jobs that are way more important than mine.”

Of course, the comments weren’t all positive. Some called on Andy to address the wage inequity in his own workplace. “Andy, you can change that wage inequity,” one person said. “You are the boss. How much do those WWHL interns make!” Another asked, “Isn’t he the Bose. Couldn’t he pay himself less and have profit sharing for the employees.” “It was be far more impressive if he said how much he made,” one more added.
Some also thought the question itself was hugely inappropriate. “You should never ask anyone that question,” one viewer stated, as others called it “wrong” and intrusive. “The fact that she feels comfortable enough to ask this question is wild to me,” one more shared.
