He’s absolutely right, I wish more actors would turn down these mediocre show revivals
That’s awesome. One of my favorite seasons of any show, ever. Not everything has to be done again or remade or reimagined.
They really messed up the subsequent seasons. The one thing driving everyone’s obsession with season 1 (and yes the acting was terrific, too) was the weird, Lovecraftian horror at the root of the killings. They just completely dropped any supernatural element and it became just another convoluted plot about serial murder and cover ups.
It’s for the best. Season One was lightning in a bottle and it’s best to just enjoy the first season.
