Can Wonder Woman be blonde? Lynda Carter just weighed in on the decades-old debate.
The actress, who played the superhero on the ’70s television show Wonder Woman, shared her thoughts after Sabrina Carpenter posted a picture of herself dressed up as the iconic character for Halloween.
“I see this little argument about Wonder Woman being brunette… Reminder! Wonder Woman is within all of us, and sometimes, she has blonde hair like @SabrinaAnnLynn!” Carter wrote via X on Saturday, Nov. 1.

In the replies, it seems that most fans agree with Carter’s take.
“Wonder Woman isn’t just an image, she’s an idea. And ideas take all forms, shapes and colors,” one fan wrote. “I thought the rule was Wonder Woman could have any color hair she d–n well wanted?” quipped another.
“Omg!! Do you know one of my earliest memories is an argument on the schoolyard about the color of Wonder Woman’s hair?” added a third. Yes there are blonde Wonder Women but I would have called you a liar when I was 6. YOU were the only Wonder Woman!”
Other’s pointed out Carter’s predecessor Cathy Lee Crosby — who played Wonder Woman in the 1974 film — had blonde hair herself.

Carpenter debuted her costume at her special “Sabrinaween” Halloween concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, Oct. 31 as part of her “Short n’ Sweet” Tour.
In addition to the Wonder Woman look, she performed in several other Halloween costumes, including as Barbie and a member of the Flintstones family. During the show, she jokingly “arrested” Drew Barrymore, who was dressed as Ghostface from Scream.
