I agree with her, the wins tonight clearly show that progressive policies can actually win elections when candidates run unapologetically on their values with integrity and their only agenda being to serve their constituents needs. The Democratic establishment has been playing it safe or even leaning towards the right for too long, assuming moderates are the only path forward. Tonight proves that voters are hungry for bold leadership that addresses inequality, cost of living, social services, housing, and social justice head-on and I hope they learn to listen and use this as a blueprint for progressive candidates/election nationwide.
Let’s hope they manage to keep this energy for the next Presidential election but we all know it’s going to be a moderate career politician because that’s been working so well in the past.

I hope she primaries Ghoulmer. She is the change we need. I live on the west coast but recognize goats.
The sad reality is that the republicans aren’t handing over the keys now that they have them. They have spent 50 years and billions of donor dollars to get here, there is no universe where they throw up their hands and give up now. Tonight was great! But Mike Johnson won’t even seat a congresswoman. They aren’t leaving power voluntarily or under their own power.
God help me I’m feeling optimistic about things again
