Yo this speech was fire. I ain’t even from NYC nor live in NY but this dude has me wanting to run through a brick wall.

This guy has me completely energized and fired up!

Honestly gasped out loud. So many Dems tried to push for politicians aligned with center-right culture politics and anti-trans legislation to buy votes (and we can see that voters did not align with those anti-trans votes tonight in so many places, thank god), said Zohran was “controversial” for being inclusive in his vision of the city, and still, as a trans person, I don’t expect someone to shout me out in their victory speech as someone they want to fight for. Even when they’ve shown up for us before, when they were the underdog. I know he won’t meet all of my expectations, and I’m okay with that. I still think he’s the real deal. We’re 1% of the population but we still deserve to be cared for and be seen.

The way Im in a small town in Canada but stayed up late, watched his live speech and ate leftover Halloween candy to celebrate like he was my mayor 😭
