Alex Rodriguez is revisiting a controversial chapter of his career. In his new HBO docu series, Alex Versus A-Rod, the retired MLB star discusses his past use of performance-enhancing drugs that led to him being temporarily suspended from the league for the 2014 season. with Alex now revealing why he felt addressing that dark period in his life was necessary, saying during an appearance on the Today’s Show November 6th, “This is more of a mental health story than a baseball story.” And the person just happened to be a baseball player, but it’s important not to forget. It’s important to bring all those things back because the next generation of kids are watching and they’re learning. and also I’ve had a long time to reflect with the former third baseman going on to share that despite holding some of the most impressive stats in the history of the American sport. He’s come to peace with the fact he’ll never be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame due to his mistakes. I’m definitely not going in the Hall of Fame, which is, you know, that I knew the rules.
