Katy Perry Hints at Reason for Orlando Bloom Split in Song “Bandaids”

Katie Perry seemingly reveals the reason for her split from Orlando Bloom in a new song. Katie’s new single, Band-Aids, her first song since her breakup with Orlando, addresses the emotional year she’s had since ending their engagement. In the music video for the new song released on November 6th, Katie faces a series of disastrous events, including dropping what appears to be an engagement ring down the sink while singing, “Hand to God, I promise I tried. There’s no stone left unturned. It’s not what you did, it’s what you didn’t. You were there, but you weren’t. The pop singer goes on to hint at the reason for her split, adding, “Got so used to you letting me down. No use trying to send flowers now, telling myself you’ll change you don’t. Band-aids over a broken heart.” As she sings, Katie undergoes multiple painful experiences in the video. But as she notes in her lyrics, pain wasn’t the only feeling she had during the relationship referenced in the song, saying, “On the bright side, we had good times, never faked our pictures. We were perfect till we weren’t. Now we’ve got so many splinters. Despite the worst parts of the relationship, Katie, who shares daughter Daisy Dove with Orlando, sings that she has no regrets by saying, “If I had to do it all over again, I would still do it all over again.” And as a train is about to crash into her, she looks over and sees a Daisy, giving her the strength to dodge the train before adding, “The love that we made was worth it in the end.
