Jafar Jackson, who’s the son of Germaine Jackson, does a complete transformation for the role of Michael. He can be seen in the new trailer, taking the stage for fans, accepting his Grammys, and doing his signature moonwalk, while Quincy Jones, who is played by Kendrick Samson, gives him a pep talk from the studio. And Michael’s son, Prince, praised his cousin’s performance on Instagram November 6th, writing, “Excited for the world to see this. So proud of everyone involved in this, but none more than my cousin Jafar Jackson. The world’s not ready for you cuz on his own Instagram, Jafar writes, I’m humbled and honored to bring my uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans all over the world, I’ll see you soon.” A synopsis for the movie reads, “The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music, phrasing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson 5 to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world.
