Legendary rocker wife Pattie Boyd is 81 and more beautiful than ever.

The English beauty, known for her marriages to Beatles legend George Harrison and musician Eric Clapton, made a rare appearance on social media on Friday following the news of who would be portraying her in the upcoming Beatles biopic directed by Sam Mendes. The former model, who met Harrison in 1964 on the set of the Beatles movie A Hard Day’s Night, looked classy and glamorous while attending an art opening alongside a friend in England.

“I had the pleasure of attending Charles March’s new exhibition at Hamiltons Gallery in London earlier this week,” Boyd captioned the photo. “Here I am pictured with Christina Politi at the event.”

Casting the Wives of the Beatles

Mendes has spoken about the arduous process of casting the wives of the Beatles for his upcoming project, currently titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.

“Maureen, Linda, Yoko, and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right – and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure,” Mendes said in a statement, USA Today reported.

On Oct. 31, Sony finally released the names of the actresses who had scored the coveted roles.

Shogun star Anna Sawai will play John Lennon’s wife, Yoko Ono, while Mia McKenna-Bruce is set to star as Ringo Starr’s first wife, Maureen Starkey. Saoirse Ronan will play Paul McCartney’s wife, Linda McCartney. As for Boyd, she’ll be portrayed by beloved White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood.

“The Beatles changed my understanding of music. Pretty much, they made up my first memories,” Mendes said back in April, the publication continued. The project, comprising four films, is expected to be in production for over a year.

    Who Will Play the Beatles?

Normal People star Paul Mescal is set to play McCartney, while Harris Dickinson of Babygirl will play John Lennon. Joseph Quinn, known for Stranger Things, will play Harrison, while Barry Keoghan, known for Saltburn, is set to play Starr, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
