Demi Moore and Emma Heming Willis join forces to honor Bruce Willis
I’m not going to use my notes. I I just want to say first, thank you all for being here. Um I need to say thank you to Greg uh and Nicole for putting this whole stick together. Uh this is incredible and I love what you guys are doing um here at this at the Soho House to be able to raise awareness uh for fronttoal dementia. And you know, this is going to bring all of Bruce’s friends and family together. Sorry, I’m so nervous. What a painiller from my leg. What is happening right now? Yeah. So, thank you for being here. I obviously wish Bruce could be here, but he is here in spirit. And, you know, when Greg and Ann uh, you know, called and said, you know, we want to put this thing together. we want to bring, you know, all of Bruce’s friends and play some live music and have some fun. And I was like, yeah, can we please have some fun? So, as Bruce would say, live it up. Let’s all continue to live it up and have fun. Um, we are here because of the Association for Front Temporal Degeneration. I want to give a shout out to Susan Dickinson and and the organization that has been an absolute lifeline for me and our our family. I’m not going to give you the ins and outs about FTD and bring this whole mood down. I’m going to let Susan do that. Um but but again, thank you. I really appreciate you guys being here. Both Emma Heming Willis, who is married to Bruce Willis, and Demi Moore, who was married to the “Die Hard” star, joined forces on Wednesday night in lower Manhattan to celebrate the actor.
The Soho Sessions hosted an evening featuring performances by Keith Richards, Mavis Staples, Norah Jones, and Warren Haynes to raise awareness for The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD).
Wilis, 70, who retired from acting in March 2022, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023.
