This reunion was 25 years in the making!

{ }Taylor Momsen tells entertainment reporter Courtney Tezeno about reuniting with Jim Carrey 25 years after they starred in “The Grinch That Stole Christmas.”
Before reuniting with her “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” costar to honor Soundgarden at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Momsen told our entertainment reporter, Courtney Tezeno, what it was like to reunite with the iconic actor 25 years later.
“So excited to see Jim! Matt Cameron [Soundgarden’s drummer] told me a couple of weeks ago that was happening, and it blew my brain up because what are the odds of that, that’s so insane, so full circle and kismet, and I’m so excited about it, I cannot wait to see him.”

Both of their excitement definitely showed! After Carrey inducted Soundgarden and Momsen performed with the band, the gang headed backstage to the press room, where a sincere moment between the two actors took place.
Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen have a ‘Grinch’ reunion at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
After the two posed for photos with Soundgarden, Momsen and Carrey posed together and even embraced in a warm hug that followed with some whispers in each other’s ears. While we couldn’t hear what they were saying, we can only hope it was them planning a “Grinch” sequel.
