Kendrick Lamar tops Grammys 2026 nominations, Lady Gaga and Bad Bunny follow, and no Taylor Swift?

Grammy season has officially begun and the nominees are serving hits on hits on hits. The 68th annual Grammy Awards are set for February 1st, 2026 and the Recording Academy just dropped the full list of nominations. Spoiler alert, it’s Kendrick Lamar’s World and we’re all just streaming in it. That’s right, Kendrick leads the pack with nine nominations thanks to his critically acclaimed album GNX, which dropped last November. Right behind him, Lady Gaga, who scored seven nominations, breaking her own record from way back in 2010. Her latest album, Mayhem, clearly lived up to its name in the best way. But this year’s Grammys aren’t just about the icons. Rising star Leon Thomas, made major waves with six nominations, including best new artist. Sharing that six nod spotlight are Sabrina Carpenter, Serban Gana, and Bad Bunny, who if you forgot is performing at the Super Bowl just one week after the Grammys. No rest for Bonito. And speaking of Bad Bunny, he’s making history as the first Spanish language artist ever nominated for album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year all in the same year. And people still question his halftime show credentials. Please. Other big names in the mix, Tyler the Creator and Dochi with five nods each. Justin Bieber with four, and Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez, rounding out the list with a few well-earned mentions. Oh, and get this, Timothy Shalamé just scored his first Grammy nomination for the Bob Dylan biopic soundtrack, A Complete Unknown. That’s right, from the Oscars to the Grammys, Timmy is collecting trophies like vinyls. Now, if you’re wondering where is Taylor Swift, don’t panic, Swifties. Her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, came out just after the eligibility window closed. But don’t worry, she’s practically a lock in for the 2027 Grammys. The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 1st. A host hasn’t been announced yet, but with a lineup this stacked, all eyes are going to be on the categories. Who’ll take home the gold? We’ll find out in February. Until then, cue the playlist because Grammy season is officially on repeat.

The 2026 Grammy nominations are here and it’s Kendrick Lamar’s year to shine with nine nods, followed closely by Lady Gaga’s record-breaking seven. Rising stars like Leon Thomas and Sabrina Carpenter join heavyweights like Bad Bunny, Tyler, the Creator, and more in this year’s stacked lineup.
