Kate Gosselin has finally confirmed that she’s in a relationship with her former bodyguard, Steve Neild.
Kate, 50, shared a clip on both Instagram and TikTok over the weekend captioned, “One girl. 10 obsessions.” The video featured a montage of photos of things in her life that she loves, and a few slides included Neild. While the former reality TV star didn’t formally reveal his name, Page Six later confirmed that it was Neild.
Several people slammed the Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum and her list with one person writing, “lol we all knew you were with Steve… his poor wife.”
Another added, “Is that the guard that Jon Gosselin was talking about?”
As Star previously reported, Jon told The Sun in October, “I believe Kate was cheating on me during my marriage,” noting that Neild slept in his house while they were filming. (In reference to the decades-long rumors, Kate told People in 2009 that “the allegations they’re making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified.”)
Others were skeptical of Kate’s choice to include her eight kids in the list of things she’s obsessed with, likely due to her son Collin’s estrangement from her and several of his siblings.
“Kids?!? Don’t make me laugh!” one critic wrote, while another added, “What about Collin? Is he included with the other kids? Thought not.”

In September 2024, Collin alleged in an interview with The U.S. Sun that Kate subjected him to harsh treatment, including keeping him isolated from his siblings, confining him to a locked room and even accused her of restraining him with zip ties.
Days later, Kate’s lawyer adamantly denied the claims of his client in an interview with Fox News and said that Collin struggled with “multiple psychiatric diagnoses” which made him a danger to his other siblings. She has consistently maintained that all of her actions were out of concern for his well-being, and the safety of his brothers and sisters.
Kate shares twins Madelyn and Cara, both 25, and sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Alexis, and Leah, all now 21, with ex husband Jon.
