Why Kelly Ripa’s Neighbor “Lodged a Complaint” Over Halloween Candy | E! News
Kelly Ripa’s Halloween didn’t end on a very sweet note. The daytime diva gives a play-by-play of her and husband Mark Consuelos’s holiday on the November 4th episode of the couple’s talk show. And Kel says she got some harsh feedback from a neighbor this spooky season. She tells the audience, “We ran out of candy twice and had to reorder on the fly.” Kelly adds, “Interestingly enough, yesterday a woman came up to me and sort of lodged a complaint that we ran out early. An adult woman.” According to the 55-year-old, the woman approached her asking, “What happened to your candy this year?” Kelly explains, “She said,”Well, you ran out.” And I go, “What time did you come?” She said, “Around:30 at night.” I said, “No, it’s over then. You’ll have to come earlier next year.” Kell’s husband and co-host has his wife’s back as she tells the story, replying, “I wish I would have received that complaint.” And this isn’t the first time the pair have received less than rave reviews on Halloween. Mark shared on air in 2023 that way back in 1999, their neighbors complained about a party going on at the time, saying, “We got a noise complaint.” and added. Kelly and Mark ordered BOXES of full size candy pars a month (or more) in advance for Halloween. They go above and BEYOND for their uptight, very rich, upper East Side neighborhood. (with hardly a thanks). If I were them, next year I’d escape to the Hamptons (their other New York residence that’s very private).
