DWTS Guest Judge Flavor Flav Explains Alix Earle Score Accident | E! News

Flavor Flave is speaking out after the Dancing with the Stars guest judge raised an eye for Alex Earl and her partner Valmeirsky, which ultimately prevented her from getting a perfect score on Rock and Roll night. The rapper addresses the controversial rating and admits it was actually a mistake. He told People magazine after the episode, “I really wanted to give them a 10, but they wouldn’t let me change it. I went, no, no, that was an accident. I don’t want to give them a nine. I want to give them a 10,” he adds. But they was like, “Flavor, it’s already locked in. You can’t change it.” I’m like, “Oh man, that’s how the game goes.” Week eight of the competition series saw Alex and Val dance a dolé to Living on a Prayer by Bon Joy. This is now the second week that the influencer was one point off from getting a perfect score. In the previous episode, the pair performed a tango to Billy Isish’s Bury a Friend. And while judges Derek, Bruno, and Carrie Anne all awarded them a 10, guest judge Cheryl Burke was the only one to give them a nine. [Music]
