Why DWTS’ Brooke Burke Isn’t Returning With Tom Bergeron | E! News
Brooke Burke won’t be returning to Dancing with the Stars anytime soon. Ahead of the show’s 20th anniversary episode airing on November 11th that’s slated to welcome back Tom Berseron, OG Pros, and more. The 54year-old details why she won’t be joining her fellow alums for the special occasion. During a November 4th appearance on Jenny Gar’s I Choose Me podcast, she reveals, “I never say no just to never close doors professionally, but that was eight seasons, and I did everything I needed to do in the ballroom. At the time, it was one of the most watched shows on television. It would be hard to go back there with the same level of excitement and appreciation.” The Dancing with the Stars alum who won the Mirror Ball with partner Derek Huff back in 2008 shares how being a contestant was quote terrifying and one of the hardest things she’s ever done. But the experience ultimately laid the groundwork for her to return as a host for the series from seasons 10 to 17. She explains, “Being a host allowed me to bring a different level of compassion and connection to that skill set because I knew both sides of it. And though the mom of four has no plans to walt back into the ballroom, she does look fondly on her time on the show. She adds, “It was so much fun. It was such a great show to work on.
