Grey’s Anatomy’s Camila Letington reacts to the show’s newest shocking revelation. And warning, there are spoilers ahead. During a November 13th interview with The Rap, the actress who portrays Dr. Joe Wilson shares insight into her character’s arc after the fall finale left viewers in disbelief. She admits, “This is what we do best, these horrifying, terrifying mid-season finales. The script was written so well and that being the last thing we see, I was like, “Oh my god, the writers are just incredible.” In the episode, merely weeks after her husband, Dr. Adakus Link Lincoln survived a nearly fatal explosion at Grace Sloan Memorial, Dr. Wilson gets caught in her own health scare as it’s revealed she’s experiencing heart failure while pregnant with twins. After a few failed treatments, Dr. Wilson is rushed into surgery for an emergency C-section performed by cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Winston, who hasn’t done the procedure since med school. But of course, fans will have to wait till the show returns on January 8th to see how the rest unfolds. Camila continues, “This is a situation where everything hangs in the balance, and survival is not guaranteed for a lot of us involved. The cost of a mistake could be everything. And just when you think things couldn’t get worse, the actress teases that the show’s return will be quote brutal. She adds emotionally prepared because the next episode coming up after this, it is worse to be honest. So yeah, just drink a lot of wine and try to compartmentalize. This is not happening on Grey’s Anatomy until January. [Music]
