Nikki Glaser’s controversial ‘SNL’ jokes overshadow Pete Davidson

And here I am in New York City, Epstein’s original island. Nikki Glazer crushed it on the roast of Tom Brady in 2024 and at the Golden Globes earlier this year, but her latest gig hosting Saturday Night Live on November 8th may have pushed the envelope too far. And we’re not even going to talk about this creepy brother sister karaoke sketch. In Nikki’s 9-minute opening monologue, the comedian’s joke spans some very touchy subjects: blackface, human trafficking, rape, domestic violence, and pedophilia. How do you become a pedophile? You don’t get to choose what you’re into, dude. What if it’s one of those things you don’t know you like till you get in there and you’re like, “Well, this is my thing.” Critics said NBC wasn’t the right audience for this kind of edgy material. One ex user even called her brain deadad for poking fun at child abuse in 2025. Meanwhile, others praised the 41-year-old stand-up comedian for not watering down her act for SNL and called it the riskiest monologue in a long time and absolutely diabolical. Nikki certainly not the first host to shock viewers in this way. In 2015, Louis CK also got heat for riffing on pedophilia. Yeah, that’s the house where the child mobster lives. In another eyebrow raising bit, Nikki joked that she’s certain that her boyfriend will murder her someday. This comes just a few weeks after Kristen Bell received backlash for an anniversary post about her husband, Dak Shepard, that many called tonedeaf. The star of Netflix’s Nobody Wants This wrote on Instagram, “Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me, I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would. It seems Gallow’s humor is all the rage these days. This style of comedy makes light of dark situations. In this case, the very real fear of domestic violence that women face in society. Nikki’s gallows heavy monologue made so many headlines you’d almost forget that SNL alum Pete Davidson also returned to the show to court a little controversy of his own. He joked that he did the politically charged Riad comedy festival in Saudi Arabia because he’s losing millions on the Staten Island ferry that he bought with Colin Jo. Pete also made a joke about his FDNY firefighter father Scott Davidson who died in 9/11. Look, I actually I understand RFK. You know, I wouldn’t be famous without my dad dying either. The live studio audience groaned at that one. But that’s not all. Pete took a swing at his old boss, saying, “If Lauren Michaels has taught us anything, it’s that you never ever give up. Even if everyone says the time has come, and Tina Fey is ready to take over.” Lauren Michaels turns 81 on November 17th. Despite his advanced age, the show he created 50 years ago is still making waves and creating plenty of water cooler moments that everyone is talking about. But what did you think? Did Nikki and Pete go too far? Sound off in the comments.

Nikki Glaser’s career skyrocketed after she brutally roasted Tom Brady on Netflix in 2024. The 41-year-old comedian then crushed it at the 2025 Golden Globes. But her latest gig hosting “Saturday Night Live” on Nov. 8 may have pushed the envelope too far. Page Six has her shocking monologue jokes right here — she’s seemingly taking after Louis C.K., who previously joked on “SNL” about child molesters. Fans are divided, calling Glaser everything from “braindead” to “diabolical.” Plus, Pete Davidson made a surprise cameo on the show and roasted his and Colin Jost’s Staten Island ferry purchase.

    1. I usually love her humor, and I get that people have gotten too uptight towards comedians. But that joke…. Was a lot. I went from 😂 to 😱🤯😕 faster than any comedian…. Other than Kramer’s racist gross one from way back
