Grammy Nominations 2026 Snubs & Surprises: Bad Bunny, KATSEYE & More | E! News

The 2026 Grammy nominations are finally here. The Recording Academy announces the list of nominees for the 2026 award show taking place on February 1st. And among it are old and new faces hoping to bring home an award, as well as some snubs and surprises. As for one of the most exciting categories, best new artist, the nominees include Olivia Dean, Cat’s Eye, The Maras, Addison Ray, Somber, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young. As for album of the year, the nominees include Debbie Tramos Photos Bad Bunny, Swag Justin Bieber, Man’s Best Friend, Sabrina Carpenter, Let God Sort him Out, Clips, Push A Tea and Malice, Mayhem, Lady Gaga, GNX, Kendrick Lamar, Mut Leon Thomas, and Chromacapeia Tyler the Creator. As for the surprises, girl groups are taking center stage among the nominees with Cat’s Eye scoring a best new artist nod, while animated K-pop trio Huntrix picks up multiple nominations, including Song of the Year for their viral hit Golden from K-pop Demon Hunters, marking the first girl group song nominated in that category in nearly two decades. As for the snubs, Lord’s fourth album, Virgin, did not gain the attention of the Recording Academy with the artist receiving zero nominations. Additionally, Benson Boon, who was nominated for best new artist at the 2025 awards ceremony, did not receive any noms despite his back flips and newest album. and role model whose hit song Sally When the Wine Runs Out has become a viral phenomenon did not receive any love from the Recording Academy with zero nominations.
