THE 2025 GOVERNORS AWARDS red carpet offers the first real taste of what Hollywood’s A-list will deliver once Oscars season settles in, with stars arriving in shimmering metallic gowns, saturated colour and breathtaking couture silhouettes.
Anya Taylor-Joy channelled the spirit of the couture shows in a sculptural Maison Margiela gown paired with Tiffany and Co. jewellery, while Jonathan Anderson’s muse Mia Goth stole the spotlight in a pale blue, voluminous Christian Dior creation.
The 16th annual Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences event, considered a crucial stop for award season contenders, is presenting Honorary Awards to Tom Cruise, Debbie Allen and production designer Wynn Thomas. Dolly Parton will be recognized with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, although it was previously announced the music superstar will not make an appearance due to health issues.
