Coco Austin Defends Breastfeeding Her Daughter Until Age 6 | E! News
Koko Austin is opening up about breastfeeding her child till age six. The mom shares now 9-year-old Chanel with rapper Iced Tea. And back in 2021, the TV personality made headlines for still breastfeeding her then 5 and 1/ half-year-old child. And on the Dumbl podcast November 9th, Bunny XO asks Koko if she still breastfeeds Chanel. And she says she was able to eat, you know, by a year, you know, full like solids. It was more of a bonding experience. and the more of like, okay, I’ll give you the milk, but it was more like she wanted to be around me. So, I was like, I’m going to let her stop when she wants to stop. She’s not going to be 16 on my boob. Like, she’s going to eventually figure out, okay, this is kind of strange or weird and stop. And that happened around 6. Defending her case, Koko says, which was still extremely long amount of time apparently, but in Europe, they’re doing till 7. Mhm. Like there it’s nothing to them. We Americans think that’s weird, but and of course there were haters, but also lots of support. I had everybody come out of the woodwork when it comes to breastfeeding ladies. I breastfed and did a natural ween at 26.5, almost 27 months postpartum. I cannot imagine continuing to breastfeed that long without without some extenuating circumstance like war or famine.
