Kit Harington Details “Embarrassing” Kiss With Costar Sophie Turner | E! News

It was slightly um yeah, a bit weird. Bit weird just being just being at home at the moment. Like none of us none of us are at home at the moment. My my wife is filming something somewhere else. I’m filming something somewhere else. And and we just need to get home and be a family. That sounds depressing, but it’s just true. Christmas is going to be really special this year. We’re a very overly traditional family just as far as like it gets it gets very 1930s like kind of like I don’t know like radio goes on and we listen to the carols and fire gets built and then um we go to church and it’s just incredibly sort of like homey and lovely and you know and then we eat a lot and probably watch some film or another. He was gorgeous. Like he’s um you know, he’s I guess fills that big brother role as far as like career goes. It’s like I I haven’t exactly been watching him since I was a kid because I’m not that much younger than him, but certainly since I was wanting to be an actor and going to drama school, I’ve seen his career and been like, “That guy is extraordinary what he does and how he does it and and and how he’s maintained his career over the years and how he maintains himself and his professionalism. He’s uh he’s a he’s a real um inspiration. I was quite daunted getting on walking on set with him. first day we had to do like a fight scene and you know that’s quite a quite a kind of for me that was a a daunting thing but he couldn’t have been more welcoming and he’s such a lovely lovely man if anything I’ve tried to like pick as diverse a group of projects as I possibly can be that theater film or TV I’m always looking for the thing that I haven’t quite done and uh a family action comedy playing the villain opposite Mark Wahberg certainly like was like well I haven’t done that. So uh that was what appealed really. I don’t think it’s necessarily changed what I want to do other than that I know kind of instinctually how to play a father now if I’m playing a father. Um it’s more there’s a practical element that comes in. Okay. Like where does it film right? London. That’s that’s good. That means I can be with the kids. I can give them a kiss in the morning. Like there’s that element that comes in. certainly where you your your freedom to choose kind of where you go with stuff is definitely kind of dependent on where they are. Do you know what was lovely is that we got on set together and it was just it just completely our friendships completely reignited again. Like it was like it felt like being with family. It really did. I mean when she she was the one that sent that movie to me and somehow didn’t see what I saw in it. I was like, “These guys, these are lovers, right?” And I felt very odd about about that. But it was a good it was a good chance to be with her again and work together. Yeah, it there was slight it was slightly embarrassing having to get on an apple box to kiss her because she’s about a foot taller than me. But um other than that, you know, my uh dignity is pretty intact. But yeah, bit weird. Bit weird. Oh, I’m fine with them watching Game of Thrones. I just don’t think they will. Like I don’t think I don’t think they’ll give a toss. Like I think I um I I don’t think they’ll really care about like I can’t think of anything sadder than me sitting down and going, “All right, kids. Let’s watch let’s watch daddy’s film.” You know? I I just don’t think they’ll want to. [Music]
