How Jamie Chung, Bryan Greenberg Navigated Twins’ Time in the NICU | E! News

I’m I’m partnering up with Carter and with the March of Diamonds bringing awareness to prematurity awareness month which is November. Um our kids were born in the NICU. One had a two week stint and then graduated and our other child was there for a week and so I mean it’s a really scary experience is it not? I mean, you know, first- time parents and holding a child and they’re barely 4 lb and, you know, you’re hearing the heart rate monitors and, you know, and seeing all these incubators. Um, and what a wonderful thing to have these wonderful niku nurses kind of hold your hand through this entire experience. Um, cuz it it can be quite traumatizing. And so I’m I’m proud to partner with Carters because the Carter Charitable Foundation is donating $50,000 to the March of Dimes. Um a great organization that, you know, ensures the the overall health and safety for all moms and premature babies. So it’s pretty pretty incredible to be like a 160-year-old brand who has just devoted themselves to design and ease. Like as our children got bigger, it’s like accessibility is everything. when you’re changing a blowout, you know, it’s like you got to have the zipper. You blink your eyes and all of a sudden they’re they go from 4 lb to, you know, 35 40 and they grow up. They really do grow up so fast. And so I because I was so overwhelmed and because, you know, it was two at one time, I really couldn’t enjoy the baby stage, you know, cuz I was just on survival mode like burping, feeding, changing, you know, it’s just I it was really overwhelming. But now I really make it a point to like to be present and instead of rushing like God, I just wish that they can wipe their own butts. Yeah, I’m sure that would be great, but you know, I I it’s it’s kind of beautiful like recognizing these really special moments with the kids. What’s quite strange is um I mean it’s not strange. Korean people love to eat and sharing a meal together is really important for, you know, bonding and and all that good stuff. So Thanksgiving has always been a big holiday in my family and Thanksgiving is also a big holiday in Brian’s family. And so when we got married, we always had to alternate. We’ll just kind of hang low. And I think this would be the first year that maybe we teach the kids how to ski for Christmas cuz that was a big thing. Instead of like Christmas gifts, um my parents would save up and they would take us on like a ski trip. You know, we stay at the Circus Circus and like near Reno. It wasn’t super lavish. there’s way to do it. But, uh, yeah, it’s it’s kind of a core memory and we hope to pass that on to our kids. [Music] [Music]
