Smallville’s Allison Mack Reveals Financial Status After NXIVM Scandal | E! News
Smallville’s Allison Mack is speaking out about her current financial status and desire to return to acting. In 2021, the TV star was sentenced to three years in federal prison and ordered to pay a $20,000 fine after pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy and asked for her involvement in Nexium, a cult led by Keith Reeri. She was ultimately released early in 2023 after serving 2 years. And speaking with her former co-star, Michael Rosenbomb, on his podcast, Inside of You, Allison says, “Yeah, I really miss acting a lot. I mean, I just took an improv class, a beginning improv class at Upright Citizens Brigade, and it was a blast. It’s really nice to act without having to worry about what I look like, you know? It’s really nice to act without having to like worry about whether or not I’m going to get a call back. Like, just to act.” And so I think that I will always have that in my life cuz I think it’s just good for me, you know. Ellison is now working in the world of prison reform to rehabilitate incarcerated individuals as well as teaching art to people in prison. And the actress reveals her current financial standing saying, “I have moments where I’m like, man, this is hard because I lost everything dealing with um how hard you have to work to keep your health insurance.” And I mean, I have residuals, which is amazing. and has afforded me a lot of freedom, but it’s not what I used to have.
