Colleen Hoover is breaking her silence on the It Ends With Us controversy. The stars of the movie, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, have been involved in a heated legal battle since December of 2024. And the author who wrote the book that inspired the movie is explaining why she doesn’t want to be involved publicly. In an interview with El Magazine November 20th, Colleen says, “It feels like a circus when there are real people involved with real feelings and emotions. This actually truly has impacted some of the actors careers in huge ways and I just find it all around sad. And speaking on her role in the situation, she says, “I’m just trying to stay removed from the negativity. I have my own story I could tell, but I don’t want to bring attention to it and I don’t want to have to put someone else down to lift myself up. So, I’d rather just ignore it and let people think and say what they’re going to say.” And if someone asks her about the book turned movie, Colleen adds, “I can’t even recommend it anymore. I feel like the lawsuit has overshadowed it. I’m almost embarrassed to say I wrote it.” When people ask what I do, I’m just like, “I’m a writer. Please don’t ask me what I wrote.

I love Colleens books it’s sad that they ruined it … I still watched the movie but I always prefer the books to the movies anyway. Her books are very good definitely recommend
If she had not switched sides because of power and money, if she had not betrayed the man who worked years to make her and his vision of the story come to life, if she had not betrayed the man who became a friend, none of the stress she is feeling now would have happened. She could have stand with the truth, the integrity, but she chose herself otherwise. So please do not complain now! You brought this on yourself for being a traitor, a liar, a bully, a terrible friend!
As texts and details are emerging it seems that Justin decided to end the movie with his character (the abuser) not being in Lily's life anymore. This really upset Blake and Colleen because the second book is all about them raising their child together. They felt like his ending made it so they couldn't make a second movie.
So this is why Colleen turned on Justin. She was pretty much complaining about that and Blake getting the wrong tattoo that didn't match the description of the book. She never complained or mentioned anything about SA.
The texts also proved she completely lied about whether she had read the script.
So basically these two teamed up to try to take Justin down in order to get a movie sequel made. Justin stood up for what domestic violence shelters were telling him about what was appropriate for the ending of the movie… And because he wouldn't roll over for Blake, she pulled out the big guns with false accusations of SA.
It's annoying when a person (Colleen H.) helps to create the PROBLEM, then stands back and acts like she didn't know how things got so bad. Pa-Lease!
She’ll have no peace until she can be honest with herself about what she did. That’s how it works
She knows Blake has been anything but truthful, but she can't admit she made the wrong choice.
She's a grown woman. She needs to own up to it and apologize to the man who opened the door to Hollywood for her.

Colleen's texts spoke for her. She doesn't need to say anything. Justin brought the receipts and showed that she was consulted through out the script writing. Blake came in and changed everything including the script. Colleen made her choice and is now playing the victim and weaponizing abuse. Colleen helped to create the circus! We see you Colleen, there is nothing that you could say or do to lift yourself up, you are disgusting! I will never support anything that you do.

The fake Hollywood double standards. You can not speak the truth? The whole world knows what that spoiled rich privileged woman did. She took advantage and tried to destroy a man, because she is selfish and spoiled and privileged. For these reasons you can not speak the truth and openly be on the victims side?
