‘RHOSLC’ star Jen Shah granted early prison release, will be reunited with family for holidays

It’s a Thanksgiving miracle for Jen Shaw, who’s been granted early release from prison just in time to reunite with her family for the holidays. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum will be released early from the federal prison camp in Brian, Texas on December 10th. People has reported the Bravo celebrity, who’s been serving time since February 2023, considers the timing a gift she doesn’t take for granted, according to her manager, Chris Giovani. He told the outlet, “Everyone’s very grateful for the Federal Bureau of Prison’s decision, especially because it means Jen will be able to reunite with her family for the holidays.” Giovani went on to call Shaw’s mental state really positive and hopeful. He gushed, “She’s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before. Her focus is on her family and building a healthier, more grounded life.” Giovani concluded, “She understands the seriousness of the mistake she made and is excited to put this chapter behind her so that she can show everyone the woman she’s worked hard to become.” A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, meanwhile, told People, “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss any incarcerated individuals conditions of confinement or specific release plans.” Shaw was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in connection with a nationwide telemarketing scheme in March 2021. Bravo fans will of course never forget the intense sprinter van scene on the reality show when the police came looking for Shaw. Homeland security. We’re looking for Ten Shaw. She just left. The reality star did not have a trial as she pleaded guilty to the first charge in July 2022 after initially pleading not guilty to both the previous year. In January 2023, she was sentenced to 6 and 1/2 years behind bars and ordered to forfeit $6.5 million in assets and pay as much in restitution to victims as well. Her sentence was reduced by 1 year and 8 months respectively in March 2023 and October 2024 and reduced twice more earlier this year in January and August. It remains unclear whether she will go home upon her release or spend time in a halfway house. Shaw notably is still going strong with her husband Sheree Shaw whom she wed in August 1994 and shares adult sons Sheree Jr. and Omar. She wished her partner a happy Valentine’s Day and birthday via Instagram in February, writing, “Even from miles away, my love and gratitude for you are stronger than ever.” When the duo celebrated their 31st anniversary over the summer, Shaw gushed, “You bring so much joy to my life, and I am forever thankful for your overwhelming love and support as we approach this next chapter.” Well, here’s hoping your holiday season is just as shamazing.
