Isla Fisher, Rosamund Pike & Ariana Greenblatt Talk Spice Girls, Sausages & Sorcery

What kind of sausage? How do you know you love a sauce? There is the egg. Is it hard boiled or raw? No, it be I mean it can be whatever you want. I like being bad. Hello. I feel like girl power. We’re just talking about Spice Girls out there and why are we talking about spice girls? I don’t know. Just super group. Baby, Ginger and Posh. Yeah, right. You’d have to be sporty. Are you a bit Are you all right, baby? You’re stuck in the middle there and you just kind of between two absolute legends. I have to take my jacket off. It gets a little hot. Yeah. I love it. Are you having just the best time? Because I just I had a smile on my face throughout the tour film. Now you’re on the press bit. It just looks like amazing fun. It really is so much fun. It was so much fun. We all get on really well. I think the secret to kind of ensemble movies in a way is just the chemistry that we have together and we’re so lucky. We all have a different process and even like Rosman’s a villain obviously and she comes and goes, you know, we’re not necessarily all together in the scenes, but we just got on. I had so much fun. Oh, I just love and your accent by the way. Oh, I just kept saying bullos when I came out. I just What was that? Bulos. Isn’t that like a bulos? Isn’t that the sausage? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, nice. You know about that. What kind of sausage? How do you know? You love a sausage. How do you know about a sausage? Where is this? Where is the sausage from? Is it a vienn? By the way, the hair is getting pushed by circa 2020. I absolutely love it. What do you think? Yeah, I love it. I love it. I literally I love it so much and her so much. I just said to both of them a second ago, should I get my haircut? They said no. Oh, you could do one of those videos, couldn’t you? I must talk about the fact that we thrive on illusions in this and spectacles. What wows you in real life? What really gets you excited? Everything. Oh god. I think this movie, by the way, because there’s no mystery left in life. It feels like everybody posts everything. Everybody tells everybody what they ate for breakfast. It’s like we’ve lost mystery in films like this that really really I don’t know. We kind of we make mystery cool again. It’s exciting to think about like a world in which there’s less information because I feel like we’re hit bombarded with news the whole time. I like that. That’s my excuse. I don’t post anything because I want everyone to mysterious about me. Surprise. And just just when you ring up bulos just people won’t have seen it on your feed. Surprise. South African sausage. And what about you know if you could prank anyone on set and do a trick on them and they’ll never ever find out how it worked. Who would you Who do you want to get? Jesse. Yeah, Jesse. Oh, how would you how would you get him? Well, I wouldn’t I don’t know. I wouldn’t be able to, but I just would enjoy the feeling of him like being kind of like, “Oh, wow. Fisher, you really did that because I just think that you have to do a good trick on someone. You have to you have to tap into some version of who they believe and want to believe they really are.” So, it has to be something that feeds their own opinion of themselves. Genius. um you know so so that they think they can come to the rescue in a certain situation they will be the best one to solve it. So that’s um see why she played the villain. Did you just love being bad? I do quite like being bad. Yeah, I like being bad. She says we were picking girl bosses earlier. We were just going down the worst track. Like we couldn’t even stick with I love it. I just realized your shirt is literally your eyes. Now you see me. There you go. What about um when you got home and stuff your family and friends? Did they make you try and do magic tricks on them? Like what do the kids say? Were they you know they Well, my kids were like, “Oh, mom, you have to do the trick.” Enough with the magic already. Yeah. Yes. My kids love the magic. They loved her. They loved your loved Rosman’s character. Loved her magic. Not magic. Just loved her character. just wanted to know where she was from and just like um yeah they loved the movie and they loved the process of making the movie and they kept promising and threatening to come to Budapest and they never did but I got to go home on weekends but they just it was just like a thing where we couldn’t get them out in the end. Is it quite chaotic when the family come to set or did yours come out? No, they didn’t. They didn’t. Oh, cuz yours were also like school. We were in school. Oh, and it’s funny. Did you get any kind of free diamonds? Cuz I want I want a half free diamonds. I didn’t get to wear diamonds. They’re all fake, aren’t they? Yeah. No. Free diamonds. You got to be joking. I just want a heart-shaped diamond now. But I think I get bored of it. I’ve actually got the heart diamond. Do you have one of them, too? Oh, yeah. We’ve all got a We’ve all got a version of a heart diamond. I thought I was special. Probably one of the exploding ones that probably Jesse has rigged to explode in our home. Oh, I just love it. And there was a lovely story with Grace Kelly and who was it? Grace Kelly and probably Humphrey Bogle or someone and they used to have a tomahawk, you know what I mean? Like a really one of those inconvenient large object and they would leave it in one another’s beds in, you know, but they leave perhaps six months apart. So Grace Kelly would check into sort of the Carlilele in New York and she’d pull back the covers and there would be the Tomahawk and I always thought something like that would be good. And then, you know, she’d get it sort of through his one of the sets he was working on and he’d get it into his kind of, you know, be there on set or something. He’d lift up a desk and there would be the top. That’s a good That’s a good We should do that to each other. You could do that with an object from from these movies and it make it fun. Make it a big kipper or something. A big old fish. A big old fish. Well, I’m I’m a big fish. I don’t want to fish. What about the sausage sausage? South African sausage bibos. It is. There was um there sometimes you do that on stage, you know, you just kind of hide an egg around so no one knows where the egg is going to be. But on the performance that night, you suddenly lift up the bedclo and there is the egg. Is it hard boiled or raw? No, it’ be I mean it can be whatever you want. Smash. You wouldn’t want to scramble one, would you? Thank you very much indeed. Sorry I’ve taken up all your time talking about irrelevant things. Sausages, egg, spice girls. What more could you want?
