Jamie Lee Curtis’ Instagram post unexpectedly takes a hilarious turn after featuring Woody Harrelson.
The award-winning actress stars with the 64-year-old actor in the upcoming movie Ella McCay.
Set to premiere in theaters on Dec. 12, the Freaky Friday star plays Ella’s supportive aunt Helen McCay, while Harrelson portrays her brother Eddie McCay and the estranged father of Ella.
Ahead of the comedy-drama movie’s release, Curtis shared a sweet spotlight on her fellow actor, teasing his role and applauding his talent and humor.

“The very talented and funny #woodyharrelson is the flashpoint of conflict in the new comedy from James L Brooks #ellamccay @disney The movie comes out December 12 in theaters and is a relatable tale of families and how to survive them. I think we all can identify. I’m going to start posting my portraits,” she wrote, along with a black and white photo of the actor.
However, what was meant as a heartfelt post quickly took a comedic turn when the comment section filled with panicked reactions.
Many admitted they initially assumed it was a tribute to Harrelson because the black-and-white photo resembled the kind often used to mark somber announcements or memorials.
“Oh man, my heart, I thought he had passed away. Thank God he has not,” one wrote.
“Almost had a heart attack. This b&w picture!” a commenter said.
“Sister, I thought he was dead and I panicked!” a fan echoed.

Others jokingly warned the actress to avoid using B&W photos to prevent any more unintended panic.
