Kevin Spacey Insists He’s Not “Homeless” After Housing Comments

I feel it would be disingenuous of me to allow you to believe that I am indeed homeless. Kevin Spacy is shedding light on his housing situation. After a media report stated that the House of Cards alum had quote no home after losing his house in Maryland due to the quote astronomical cost, the actor takes to its Instagram on November 23rd to address the misleading story. I feel it would be disingenuous of me to allow you to believe that I am indeed homeless in the colloquial sense. I said I was basically living in hotels and Airbnbs and going where the work is just as I did when I first started out in this business. And there are many people as we all know who are indeed actually living on the streets or in their cars or or in terrible financial situations. And my heart goes out to them. But it is clear from the article itself that I am not one of them, nor was I attempting to say that I was. The original interview was published on November 19th in which Kevin, who has recently returned to the entertainment industry after being found not guilty in a sexual misconduct case, shared insight into his life as of late. He said, per the interview, “I’m living in hotels. I’m living in Airbnbs. I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home.” The outlet noted that he said he lost his Maryland house, quote, because the cause over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out. The 66-year-old, who faced several misconduct allegations brought forth by actor Anthony Rap, as well as three other accusers from the UK, was found not guilty on nine charges by a London jury in 2023. Said he’s now trying his best to navigate his financial situation following a costly legal battle. He noted, quote, “You get through it.” In weird ways, I feel like I’m back to where I first started, which is I just went where the work was. Everything is in storage, and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again. [Music]
